When it comes to furniture materials suitable for extended life in the Australian outdoors it is hard to go past aluminium. It is very light and will not rust which makes perfect for any number of applications.

We range hundreds of lounge, dining and daybed outdoor furniture pieces that all feature aluminium extensively in their construction. Even when you can't see it, it is still vital for us to use aluminium to ensure your piece will be suitable in an all weather environment.

Tables in particular are perhaps the most susceptible pieces of outdoor furniture in an external environment given their large, flat surface area. So we set about to develop a table that looked great but harnessed the benefits of aluminium so we would have a real outdoor performer.

Working with Royalle Outdoor Furniture we have come up with a 100% aluminium table. With the use of advanced painting techniques we have achieved a genuine whitewashed timber look. We have selected the specialist outdoor paint from US manufacturers Serwin Williams to achieve this unique look.

The tables use a mixture of extruded panels expertly welded to form a one-piece table top. Our sub frame includes a classic cross leg design with an attractive cast aluminium foot for some lovely detail. To ensure the table remains 100% suitable for use in an outdoor environment stainless steel bolts are used to secure the frame to the tabletop.

The advantages of a 100% aluminium table

1. It will not rust - Even when left in the elements there is no fear of structural deterioration from this material due to rust meaning they are a great option in an exposed area. These are particularly handy in coastal areas that experience the corrosive effects of salt spray.

2. It will not rot, split or peel - Timber is a popular option with outdoor tables but some timbers are just not up to the job and with extensive weathering can show all these signs of stress.

3. Lightweight yet strong - Aluminium is renowned for it's strength to weight ratio. Even when using a commercial gauge aluminium we still have a reasonably lightweight but very solid table. This makes it easy to move around, very handy for cleaning your outdoor surfaces or changing positions.

4. Easy care, low maintenance - Just wipe it down, blower vac it or hose it, whatever you like. Unlike many outdoor tables there are no sealants or oils necessary to keep this protected and cleaning is as easy as it comes.

5. UV resistance - Unlike some other natural materials and synthetics the sun will not deteriorate aluminium.

6. Mix and match - You can achieve some very different but equally beautiful looks with these tables depending on your chair selection.
